About the Role
The Coverage Coordinator will oversee the real-time documentation of the Desert Festival, ensuring all key moments, activations, performances, and guest experiences are captured in line with the content plan.
This role is pivotal in connecting on-ground activity with digital storytelling — ensuring that nothing is missed and every moment contributes to the event’s legacy.
This is a freelance, two-month contract, requiring on-ground presence in the desert for approximately one month during the festival period. Accommodation, meals, and basic amenities will be provided.
What You’ll Do
- Assist in planning the daily content coverage schedule across multiple event zones.
- Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and social teams to ensure timely coverage of key moments.
- Monitor the event site in real time to identify high-value, unexpected, or shareable content opportunities.
- Maintain a live checklist of content deliverables and track documentation of all assets.
- Communicate real-time updates to the content and social media teams to support live posting.
- Manage a daily log of coverage — what’s completed, pending, or missed — and flag any gaps proactively.
- Support coordination with talent, performers, and influencers during content capture.
- Assist with content approvals, ensuring all captured media follows brand guidelines and permissions.
- Collaborate closely with marketing, production, and creative teams during the live period.
About You
✔ 2–3 years of experience in content coordination, media production, or live event support
✔ Strong understanding of event dynamics and an eye for content-worthy moments
✔ Excellent communication, coordination, and tracking skills
✔ Familiarity with creative and social media workflows is an advantage
✔ Comfortable working in large outdoor environments and managing long, dynamic event days
✔ Fluent in English and Arabic (Arabic is a must)
✔ Willing and able to stay on-site in the desert for the duration of the festival
